How do I transfer balances to my credit card?
Your card application allows you to request the transfer of balances from up to three (3) credit card accounts or other types of loans. Upon approval of your application, we will process the balance transfers you requested. The total value of transfer requests cannot exceed your credit line. MBNA will send either full or partial payment to your creditors in the order you list them. Allow at least two weeks for processing. Continue paying each creditor until the transfer appears as a credit.
After you are approved, you can call 1.800.404.1346, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to transfer as many loan balances as you like up to the available portion of your credit line.
Is there any restriction on balances I can transfer?
The total value of transfer requests cannot exceed your credit line. Balance transfers may not be used to pay off or pay down another MBNA account.
How long does it take to complete a balance transfer?
If your balance transfer request is received with your credit card application, you should allow at least two weeks from account opening for processing of your request(s). You should continue to make your monthly payments to each creditor until the balance transfer appears as a credit on that account.
Are there any fees for making a balance transfer?
Transfers are processed as Cash Advances, and fees and finance charges may apply in accordance with the terms and conditions for your account. Call 1.800.404.1319 for specific information pertaining to the fees and finance charges applicable to your account.
How can I get a cash advance?
You can get cash from your card at an ABM, bank, or other location.
- To have a PIN sent to your billing address, call 1.800.404.1319.
- To find the nearest ABM, visit Mastercard's ABM locator service.
- If you need cash and don't have your PIN, take your credit card and another piece of identification into any bank displaying a MasterCard logo.
How can I use my MBNA Credit Card Cash Advance cheques?
Use access cheques just like you would a personal cheque. You can even write a cheque payable to "Cash" up to your available credit line and deposit it into your chequing account.
